Quilting 101
Want to learn basic quilting skills? Haven’t sewn much? Never used a rotary cutter? This is the class for you. Learn basic quilting skills with this class. Class project uses 1 jelly roll and 1 yard of fabric to complete the top. This is an inexpensive way to begin quilting. Machine and book required.

Beginning Quilting
Learn beginning quiltmaking skills while completing this 6 block sampler. Each block teaches a different machine piecing technique. Accurate rotary cutting, 1/4" seam, sashing, and borders will also be covered during this class.

Intermediate Quilting
Add a few more techniques to your quiltmaking. In this class, you will make blocks using curved piecing, Y-seams, templates, and machine appliqué. These blocks will be set on point and the quilt will have mitered borders. This is not a beginner’s class.

Hand Quilting
Learn the basics of hand quilting including marking the top, basting, necessary tools and the quilting stitch itself. This is a process class, not a project class. Students will practice the quilting stitch on an 18" square of fabric.

Machine Appliqué
Learn easy machine appliqué with this simple wall quilt. You can choose to complete your quilt with raw machine appliqué, invisible machine appliqué, a zigzag and buttonhole stitch, or just a zigzag stitch. Book required.

Machine Quilting Basics
You’ve pieced your top and the directions say “Quilt as desired.” What in the world does that mean? Learn the basics of machine quilting. 'O' Sew Easy Appliqué

TLC for Your Sewing Machine
You sit down to sew your next seam or start your newest project and your trusted friend, your sewing machine, has been invaded by gremlins! Why won’t it sew? It was working just fine when you last used it. If you are frustrated by this phenomenon, fret no more. Learn how to take care of your most important tool by giving it the TLC it needs and deserves between visits to your favorite repair person. We’ll cover thread and fabric jams, thread breakage, proper threading, de-linting safely, to oil or not to oil, and demystify needle sizes. Troubleshooting hand out provided. Class Policy
Prepayment holds your place in the class. If the teacher cancels the class you will receive a refund of the class only. If you need to cancel, all monies paid may be applied to another class by the same instructor. This must be done 2 weeks prior to class. Classes require a minimum of three paid individuals or the class will be canceled one week before the scheduled class.
Please be aware that we cannot allow children in any of our classes unless the class is specifically designed for children, such as our "Class for Kids." It isn't fair to the children or the other paying class members -- no exceptions.
